Join the Chamber for our annual Christmas on the Square and tree lighting with the City of Sunbury.

'Tis the time of year to bring good cheer!

Please join the Sunbury/Big Walnut Area Chamber of Commerce and its members as we celebrate "CHRISTMAS ON THE SQUARE 2024."

EVENING ACTIVITIES:

4:00 pm – 8:00 pm - Craft & Gift Fair on Sunbury Square between Town Hall & Vernon St.!  Complete online vendor registration and the appropriate forms will be sent to you.  We encourage early registration – limited to 15 vendors.

5:00 pm - Lighted Musical Christmas Parade Lineup takes place on Burrer Drive.  All parade entries are required to have lights on throughout their display as the parade kicks off after dark, at 5:30 p.m.  We are also asking that participants consider singing Christmas carols or have a speaker playing Christmas songs.
* For a parade entry, Register online and the waiver will be sent to you.   **** NO Day of parade entries will be allowed, we must receive your forms by Monday, December 2nd, 2024 *****

5:30 pm – Announcer-Dave Mazza, NBC4i / The night's festivities kick into full gear with the "Lighted" Musical Parade.  The parade will kick off from Burrer Drive by the Community Library, head up State Route 37 (or Cherry Street), turn right on Vernon, right on Granville, and back to Burrer Drive.

*Blackbird Expressions musicians will dazzle us with some beautiful Christmas songs!  Come experience awesome soloists as well as a festive youth choir leading Christmas on the Square attendees in some sing-a-long carols.

* HOLIDAY SOCK DRIVE SPONSORED BY TABLEROCK CONSTRUCTION - located at 28 East Cherry St. on Sunbury Square (NEW SOCKS CAN BE DROPPED AT TABLEROCK, M-FRI, 8A - 5P OR THE CHAMBER OFFICE, M-FRI, 9A - 3P NOW THROUGH CHRISTMAS ON THE SQUARE, 12/7/2024) 

Following the parade:

*** BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND *** – Santa Dog Costume Contest –
Do you have a puppy dog that doesn’t mind being dressed up?  Then get your best Santa costume for that pup and enter him or her in our second annual Santa dog costume contest. 
Contest begins at 6:30pm in the northwest quadrant of the square.  Top 2 winners will receive a doggie goodie basket.  Contest is limited to 10 dogs.   Please register online or call the Sunbury Big Walnut Area Chamber of Commerce @ 740-965-2860.

* Tree-lighting ceremony at approximately 7:00 pm on the Square!  Join Mayor Joe St. John and Good 'Ol Saint Nick as they officially light the Christmas Tree on the Square! BWMS Choir will be there to add their voices as well.

* Donut Eating Contest! - Join us after the tree lighting a little after 7:00 pm for the Christmas on the Square Donut Eating Contest sponsored and presented by Table Rock Construction.  Held  just outside of Table Rock Construction on Cherry St.  Open to the first 8 people to register. Participants must be at least 18 years of age and sign a liability waiver.
* First place winner is $50, second is $25.
* Entry forms will be available the day of event along with the Liability form. 

* Visit with Santa (shortly after parade) inside the Town Hall, please bring your own camera for pictures.
