Big Walnut Local Schools will be hosting a series of Community Forums to discuss school facility options and to seek community feedback in the Big Walnut School District. Superintendent Angie Pollock reported that a district facility planning board committee has been meeting to plan for the projected 62%-79% student population growth within the district in the next 10 years. It is estimated that by 2026, Big Walnut Local Schools will be serving an additional 2,000 students. The district's current facilities are not capable of accommodating this projected growth. Pollock also reported it takes 3-4 years to design, build and occupy a new building.
